TERMS OF REFERENCE - SPFS: PHASE I

(NATIONAL SPECIALIST)

Agro-Economist

Job Description:

The Agro-Economist will undertake his/her duties under the guidance of the National Programme Coordinator (NPC) and in collaboration with other members of the team and national counterparts. His/her duties include:

  • assisting the NPC to prepare a work plan for the SPFS;
  • carrying out a review of financial and economic impacts of the programme;
  • assisting in the training of farmers;
  • providing monitoring and evaluation guidelines for the programme;
  • preparing appropriate reports as specified in the work plan;
  • assisting with the preparation for the Extension of Phase I and Phase II of the programme;
  • any other duties as defined by the NPC.

Qualifications:

A minimum of Msc in Agricultural Economics and at least 7 years of experience in economic and financial evaluation of agricultural projects.
