- Pruonus persica
In addition to other trees and plants which will provide the bees with
the necessary and adequate nutrition.
Project's Components:
- Technical aspects represented in training on using modern hives,
which will be implemented by the Water Harvest Project.
- Financial aspects, represented in:
- The site and Apiary
- The Tools
- The Classes
- The beneficiaries.
Location:
.... Village, located in the Peri-Urban Area, Southwestern Part of the
Capital. Population 632 inhabitants, mainly working in agriculture and
livestock raising.
The area required to lay out beehives with Classes, and establishing
a shade thereto is estimated at (13 x 13 Meters). Necessary survey, leveling
and fencing with barbed wire is required to protect the bee classes and
hives from animals.
Implementing Agency:
- Women's Committee at ... Village

OUTPUTS
- It is expected that each beehive will produce to pieces in each season.
- Each production will be equivalent to 15 Kg.
- Therefore, 15 x 2 = 30 Kg./Beehive.
- Total number of beehives = 10 x 30 = 300
- Total Production per Year = 300 x 6000 "Price per Kg."
= XC1,800,000
- Total Production in the two years = XC 1,800,000 x 2 = XC 3,600,000
Current Average Income Per Family = XC 60,000 per Year
Average Income Per Family from Honey Production per Year =
1,800,000 ÷ 10 = XC 180,000.
